The Journal of Open Technologies in Geophysics (JOTG) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal established in 2025. It is focused on the development and application of open technologies within geophysical disciplines. The journal covers topics including but not limited to: Open-Source Software and Algorithms, Geophysical Data Processing, Machine Learning in Geophysics, Open Hardware, Applied Geophysics, Near-Surface Geophysics, Computational Seismology, and Remote Sensing in Geophysical Contexts. With a specific focus on open technologies, this journal promotes the principles of transparency, reproducibility, and collaboration in geophysics by encouraging authors to share their tools, workflows, and datasets openly so they can be reused by others in the community.

The journal accepts submissions from researchers worldwide and publishes articles exclusively in English. JOTG is published biannually (two issues per year in June & December) and welcomes two types of submissions: Full-length research articles and Short communications (brief reports or technical notes).
