EVALUASI KONDISI JALUR PEDESTRIAN SEBAGAI INFRASTRUKTUR PERKOTAAN DI KOTA GORONTALO

Abstract

Pedestrians are part of the transportation system who travel using sidewalks, road edges, or crossing facilities. Based on Law Number 22 of 2009, pedestrian paths are important urban infrastructure. However, the condition of pedestrian facilities in Gorontalo is still inadequate, as several locations are either unfit for use or lack pedestrian access entirely. This study uses descriptive and evaluative analysis methods on 12 road segments. The observations show varying conditions; several segments such as Panjaitan, Madura, and Nani Wartabone have relatively good pedestrian paths, while segments like Kalimantan, Pangeran Hidayat, Agus Salim, and Sultan Botutihe still have limited pedestrian facilities. Overall, pedestrian paths in Gorontalo have not fully supported walking activities due to limitations in path availability, physical quality, and pedestrian space management.
