ANALISIS KESESUAIAN PENGGUNAAN LAHAN BERDASARKAN RENCANA TATA RUANG WILAYAH KOTA GORONTALO TAHUN 2019-2039
Abstract
The rapid development currently taking place in Gorontalo City has the potential to drive changes in land use that are not always in line with the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW). This study aims to analyze the suitability of land use in accordance with the 2019–2039 Gorontalo City RTRW through a spatial analysis approach. Land use data for 2024 was obtained from the interpretation of Sentinel satellite imagery and analyzed using overlay techniques in a Geographic Information System (GIS) against the RTRW spatial pattern map. The results of the study show that land use in 2024 will be dominated by settlements. The level of conformity of land use with the RTRW reached 67% or an area of 4,712.63 hectares, while 33% or 2,349.12 hectares were categorized as not yet compliant and non-compliant. The non-compliance mainly occurred in protected areas and buffer zones, such as river buffers, coastal buffers, water catchment areas, protected forests, and active fault buffers, which are still used as residential areas and built-up land. Therefore, spatial utilization control and policy strengthening are needed so that land use can be in accordance with the 2019-2039 Gorontalo City Spatial Plan (RTRW) guidelines.
