Journal Integrated Industrial Engineering (JIIE) is an open access, peer-reviewed, international journal published by the Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Institut Teknologi Sumatera. This journal is published twice a year, in July and December each year. JIIE cooperates with the Cooperation Agency for Higher Education in Industrial Engineering (Badan Kerjasama Perguruan Tinggi Teknik Industri or BKSTI).
JIIE is aimed at an audience of researchers, educators and practitioners of industrial engineering and associated fields. It publishes original contributions on the development of methodologies for solving industrial engineering problems, as well as the applications of those methodologies to problems of interest in the broad industrial engineering and associated communities. Papers reporting on applications of industrial engineering techniques to real-life problems are welcome, as long as they satisfy the criteria of originality in the choice of the problem and the tools utilized to solve it, the generality of the approach for applicability to other problems, and significance of the results produced.

The Journal of Integrated Industrial Engineering serves as a scientific publication that promotes the integration of diverse approaches within industrial engineering to address the increasingly complex challenges faced by industry, business, and society. The journal welcomes research that integrates various aspects of industrial engineering, including systems engineering, optimization, manufacturing, supply chain management, quality engineering, ergonomics, sustainability, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, data analytics, operations management, and data-driven decision-making.
