Maximus: Journal of Biological and Life Sciences is a peer-reviewed and open-access journal that publishes original research across all biology and life sciences areas. A primary aim of the journal is to provide scientific information on the initial research results, focused on biological and life sciences cases such as plant and animal biology, genetic and microbiology, biotechnology, and social and environmental science, by publishing biannually in March and October. A manuscript on Sumatran biological resources will be strongly considered for publication. Maximus: Journal of Biological and Life Sciences is fully supported by the Biology Study Program of Institut Teknologi Sumatera.

Journal Accreditation Results

WhatsApp_Image_2026-04-08_at_19.12_.40_.png We are pleased to announce the official results of the Scientific Journal Accreditation Period following the issuance of the Decree of the Director General of Research and Development No. 156/C/C3/KPT/2026.

Based on this decree, Maximus: Journal of Biological and Life Sciences, published by Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat of ITERA, has been officially designated as a National Accredited Journal at SINTA Rank 5. This accreditation is valid from Volume 1 Number 2 (2023) to Volume 6 Number 1 (2028).
