Author Guidelines

Please author follow this guidelines before submitting the manuscript on this journal!

Indonesian Journal of Applied Mathematics (INDO JAM) is dedicated to publish highest quality research papers and review that covers specifics area of research focusing on Applied Mathematics Discipline. We welcome full research articles in the following focus of scope: Computational Mathematics; Optimation; Numerical Modelling; Financial Mathematics; Statistics; Actuarial; Physics Mathematics.

Manuscripts should be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia and submitted solely to Indonesian Journal of Applied Mathematics through our Open Journal System. All figures should be in tiff or jpeg format with high resolution (300 or 600 dpi). References listed in the text should follow the IEEE style [Guide of IEEE Reference Style: http://journals.ieeeauthorcenter.ieee.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/7/IEEE-Reference-Guide.pdf].

MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION

Manuscript should be presented by original and important findings of research, based on science and applicative technology focused on applied mathematics.

Preparation List:

MANUSCRIPT FORMAT

Before sending the manuscript to our journal, the author is expected to have changed the layout of the manuscript using the INDO JAM's template provided. 

Manuscript should be written in 10 point of Palation Linotype font single space in A4 paper with double-columns and 1.78 cm top margin, and 3.1 cm bottom margins and and 1.5 cm left and right margin. Page numbers should be located at the bottom right of each page. The total pages approximately 20 pages.

The submission file can also submit in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.

Currently our Open Journal System has limited size for uploading files not over 5MB. If your manuscript have file size over 5MB, please remove all Figures and send the Figures separately by following this instructions.

Manuscript should be written in the following order i.e. TITLE, Author(s) full name; Author(s) full affiliation name and address; Correspondence author data: E-mail; Running title; Abstract; Key words; Introduction; Materials and Methods; Results and Discussion; Conclusion; Acknowledgment; References; Figures and the Figure Titles; Table and Table Titles. TITLE 

The paper title should be concies and as informative as possible.
Authors should also give a running title, i.e. short title which will be put in the bottom of each pages of the paper.

AUTHOR(s)

The full name, full affiliation name and address, phone number, and E-mail address should be written clearly.

ABSTRACT

Abstract should be no more than 200 words, to summarize the principal points of the study and therefore must be meaningful without reference to the body of the paper. It contains short sentences of introduction, methods, important findings, conclusion and implications. The abstract does not contain references, figures, tables, abbreviation, or acronym. For manuscript in Bahasa Indonesia, abstract and keyword must be written both in Indonesia and English.

Key words: 5-8 words which have to be closely related to the research. Maximum word : 200

INTRODUCTION
The introduction must be consisted with sufficient background information of the research to evaluate the results of the research. The introduction also gives the rationale for and objectives of the study that is being reported and their relationship to earlier work in the field.

MATERIALS AND METHODS

The author(s) has to provide the sufficient information about the material and methodology. It should be stated clearly and completely. If the method is categorized as new procedures or refers to published paper which was not readily available for most readers, details methodology should be provided.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

Results and discussion should not be separated. State the obtained results based on the used methods. Discussion can be done by comparing results/data reported with other research results previously published. Unit of measurements has to write by following the international systems.

CONCLUSION

Conclusion should be stated clearly. It should be written as paragraph, not as a list based on the discussion.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT 

In this section, author(s) should mention the grant source (Institution as well as year of the contract) and the person to whom the grant was given. Acknowledgement should also be given to those (individual/company/institution) who has contributed to the study especially in  establishing research design, acquisition of data, supplying documents/photographs or analysis and interpretation of data, or who was involved in drafting the manuscript or revising it critically for important intellectual content. If the contribution of an individual quite significant, then he/she should be put as one of the author.

REFERENCES

References must be numbered in order of appearance in the text (including table captions and figure legends) and listed individually at the end of the manuscript. We recommend preparing the references with a bibliography software package, such as EndNote, ReferenceManager or Zotero to avoid typing mistakes and duplicated references. We encourage citations to data, computer code and other citable research material. If available online, you may use reference style mentioned on IEEE Style Guide provided. In the text, reference numbers should be placed in square brackets [ ], and placed before the punctuation; for example [1], [1–3] or [1,3]. For embedded citations in the text with pagination, use both parentheses and brackets to indicate the reference number and page numbers; for example [5] (p. 10). or [6] (pp. 101–105).

Citations and References in Supplementary files (if any) are permitted provided that they also appear in the main text and in the reference list.

PREPARING FIGURES, SCHEMES AND TABLES

File for Figures and schemes must be provided during submission in a single zip archive and at a sufficiently high resolution (minimum 1000 pixels width/height, or a resolution of 300 dpi or higher). Common formats are accepted, however, TIFF, JPEG, EPS and PDF are preferred. Submit your file for Figures and schemes in higher resolution via email to journal@itera.ac.id with Subject: “[INDOJAM] Figure of [Title of your manuscript]”.

Our journal can publish multimedia files in articles or as supplementary materials. Please contact the editorial office for further information.

All Figures, Schemes and Tables should be inserted into the main text close to their first citation and must be numbered following their number of appearance (Figure 1, Scheme I, Figure 2, Scheme II, Table 1, etc.).

All Figures, Schemes and Tables should have a short explanatory title and caption.

All table columns should have an explanatory heading. To facilitate the copy-editing of larger tables, smaller fonts may be used, but no less than 8 pt. in size. Authors should use the Table option of Microsoft Word to create tables.

Authors are encouraged to prepare figures and schemes in color (RGB at 8-bit per channel). There is no additional cost for publishing full color graphics.
