Daftar Tilik Penyerahan Naskah

Penulis yang ingin memasukkan naskah harus memperhatikan poin-poin di bawah ini. Jika naskah tidak sesuai dengan persyaratan yang telah dicantumkan, ada kemungkinan naskah tersebut akan dikembalikan.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font (Garamond style); employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

Manuscript Template

1. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:

  1. Title – concise, specific, and informative (max. 20 words).

  2. Authors and Affiliations – include full name(s), institutional affiliation(s), and the email of the corresponding author.

  3. Abstract – one paragraph, maximum 200 words.

  4. Keywords – 3 to 10 keywords, written in lowercase, separated by semicolons.

  5. Main Sections:

    • Introduction

    • Materials and Methods

    • Results and Discussion

    • Conclusions (optional)

    • Acknowledgements

    • References (APA 7th edition)

2. Abstract and Keywords

  • Abstract must summarize the background, methods, results, and conclusions in a single paragraph.

  • Do not include references, figures, or undefined abbreviations in the abstract.

  • Keywords should be specific to the study, but reasonably common within the discipline.

3. Introduction

  • Provide background and context for the study.

  • Clearly state the purpose, objectives, and significance of the work.

  • Review the current state of knowledge with appropriate citations.

  • Identify research gaps and, if relevant, note controversial or divergent viewpoints.

  • End with a clear statement of research objectives and expected contributions.

  • References should follow APA style.

    • Example: Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) are widely used for monitoring crustal deformation (Abidin, 2000; Anggara et al., 2025).

4. Materials and Methods

  • Describe methods in sufficient detail to allow replication.

  • Include details on:

    • Data sources.

    • Analytical methods and software.

    • Experimental setup and procedures.

  • Clearly identify new methods; established methods can be cited briefly.

  • If large datasets are used, state where they are deposited and provide accession numbers or URLs.

  • Ethical approval must be mentioned for studies involving humans or animals, including the approving institution and code.

  • Disclose use of Generative AI tools beyond minor editing (e.g., data generation, analysis, or writing assistance).

5. Equations

  • Use Microsoft Word or LaTeX equation editor (not images).

  • Number equations consecutively, right-aligned.

  • Refer to them in text as Equation (1).

  • Define all symbols and variables.

6. Results and Discussion

  • Present findings objectively with appropriate tables, figures, and statistics.

  • Do not duplicate the same data in both a figure and a table.

  • Compare results with previous studies, discuss agreements, contradictions, or unexpected outcomes.

  • Highlight the scientific significance, limitations, and implications of the findings.

  • Avoid restating methods or introduction.

Tables

  • Numbered consecutively (Table 1, Table 2, …).

  • Title above the table, notes below.

  • Must be editable (not images).

  • Example in-text citation: The GNSS baseline results are shown in Table 1.

Example Table

Baseline Length (km) Error (mm)
A–B 12.4 3.2
B–C 18.7 2.8

Figures

  • Numbered consecutively (Figure 1, Figure 2, …).

  • Caption placed below the figure.

  • Must be high resolution (≥ 300 dpi) in JPEG, PNG, TIFF, or EPS.

  • Place near the first citation in text.

  • Multipanel figures labeled (a), (b), (c).

7. Conclusions

  • Optional but recommended for long or complex manuscripts.

  • Summarize the key findings, contributions, and implications.

  • May include policy relevance, applications, or future research directions.

  • Avoid repetition and unsupported speculation.

8. Acknowledgements

  • Mention funding sources, institutional support, and individuals who contributed but are not authors.

  • Keep professional and concise.

  • Example: This study was funded by the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Grant No. 1234/UNX/2025). The authors thank the Geodesy Laboratory, Institut Teknologi Sumatera, for technical support.

9. References (APA Style, 7th Edition)

All references must follow the APA Style (7th edition). Authors should ensure accuracy and consistency in formatting. Only works cited in the text should appear in the reference list, and all cited references must be included. References should be listed alphabetically by the first author’s last name.

Journal articles: Include all authors’ names, year of publication, article title, journal name in italics, volume number, page range, and DOI (if available).

Books: Include author(s), year of publication, book title in italics, edition (if applicable), publisher, and ISBN/ISSN.

Book chapters: Include author(s), year, chapter title, editor(s), book title in italics, page range, publisher, and DOI/ISBN.

Conference papers, reports, and websites: Provide sufficient detail to ensure retrievability (author, year, title, source, URL/DOI).

In the main text, citations should follow APA author–date style. For example: (Anggara et al., 2025) or Alif et al. (2025). For two authors, always cite both names (e.g., Anggara & Alif, 2025). For three or more authors, use the first author’s surname followed by “et al.” (e.g., Alif et al., 2025).
