This study aims to identify the level of urbanization and the factors influencing it within the Pontianak Metropolitan Area. The analysis employs a quantitative method using data normalization, data classification, composite index calculation, and Principal Component Analysis. The variables analyzed include population size, population density, population growth, non-agricultural population, built-up land, socio-economic facilities, and the centrality index. The classification results indicate that the area consists of 22.89% primary villages, 30.12% villages, 36.14% emerging towns, 9.64% small towns, and 1.20% advanced towns. Pontianak City, as the core city, exhibits a higher level of urbanization compared to surrounding areas. Through Principal Component Analysis, two main factors influencing the level of urbanization were identified. The first is the socio-economic factor, which includes variables such as population size, socio-economic facilities, and the centrality index. The second is the demographic and land use factor, encompassing variables such as population density, population growth, non-agricultural population, and built-up land. These findings provide valuable insights into the dynamics of urbanization in the Pontianak Metropolitan Area, serving as a foundation for regional planning and spatial policy-making.
2025-04-09T04:09:21+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Perencanaan dan Pengembangan Kebijakanhttps://journal.itera.ac.id/index.php/jppk/article/view/1997Perkembangan Permukiman Peri Urban di Kota Manado Berdasarkan Preferensi Bermukim Masyarakat2025-04-15T07:05:11+00:00Micheline Raychel Tangon[email protected]Isti Andini[email protected]Chrisna Trie Permana[email protected]
This study investigates the development of peri-urban settlements in Manado City, focusing on residents' housing preferences. The rapid growth of Manado’s urban population has caused housing development to expand into peri-urban areas due to limited space in the city center. This research aims to analyze the patterns of formal housing development in these areas and assess the factors that influence residents' decisions to live in peri-urban Manado. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 165 respondents living in formal housing in two peri-urban areas: Paniki Bawah and Sea I. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and conjoint analysis. Results show that 56% of respondents identified accessibility, particularly proximity to work and transportation, as the most important factor in choosing housing, followed by the availability of infrastructure (33%), environmental comfort (24%), and housing affordability (21%). Paniki Bawah experienced the highest population growth at 56% from 2012 to 2022, driven by significant formal housing expansion. These findings provide crucial insights for urban planners and policymakers in designing residential areas that meet residents' preferences and efficiently manage land use in the peri-urban regions of Manado.
2025-04-09T03:48:03+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Perencanaan dan Pengembangan Kebijakanhttps://journal.itera.ac.id/index.php/jppk/article/view/1902Tingkat Kenyamanan Pengunjung terhadap Taman Dipangga berdasarkan Persepsi Pengunjung2025-04-15T07:05:11+00:00Leny Olandia Br Manihuruk[email protected]Mia Ermawati[email protected]Valendya Rilansari[email protected]
Green open space is very important in realizing a green and sustainable city. This study investigates visitor comfort at Dipangga Park, Bandar Lampung, a green open space with historical tourism potential related to the Mount Krakatau eruption. Despite its significance, the park faces issues such as poorly maintained facilities and poor accessibility, contributing to a declining visitor experience. Using a mixed-methods approach with descriptive statistical analysis and a likert scale. Based on the research results, the comfort level of visitors to Dipangga Park based on visitor perceptions is included in the Uncomfortable category. This shows the level of comfort according to visitors' assessment of conditions that are not good and require improvement and maintenance of the park and facilities to enhance safety, social interaction, and overall visitor satisfaction, contributing to a livable city.
2025-04-09T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Perencanaan dan Pengembangan Kebijakanhttps://journal.itera.ac.id/index.php/jppk/article/view/2126Kajian Optimasi Pengangkutan Sampah Kecamatan Cianjur2025-04-15T07:05:12+00:00Achmad Fauzan Iscahyono[email protected]Adelia Nur Javani[email protected]Habibi Mujahidin Mukhlis Sudrajat[email protected]Nur Diana Safitri[email protected]
Cianjur District is an area with the largest service scale in Cianjur Regency that requires the most crucial attention, especially in the provision of waste infrastructure. With the increasing population in Cianjur District every year, it is estimated that it will be followed by an increase in the amount of waste that needs to be transported. This study aims to formulate optimal waste transportation in Cianjur District. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. Optimization of waste transportation is carried out based on an analysis of existing conditions and transportation needs by maximizing working hours to then create a scenario for increasing trips and the number of transport vehicles. The results of this study show that the existing condition of waste transportation in Cianjur District uses the direct individual method with the SCS system which has not been implemented optimally. Therefore, it is necessary to add transport vehicles for waste transportation in Cianjur District every day and increase the number of minimum trips that need to be carried out. If the waste transportation needs can be fulfilled, the level of waste transportation performance in Cianjur District will increase in the future.
2025-04-09T04:38:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Perencanaan dan Pengembangan Kebijakanhttps://journal.itera.ac.id/index.php/jppk/article/view/2113Fenomena Studentifikasi di Surakarta (Studi Kasus: Kecamatan Jebres)2025-04-15T07:05:12+00:00Afnan Budi Pratama[email protected]Chrisna Trie Permana[email protected]Winny Astuti[email protected]
The phenomenon of studentification has been identified as a transformative force influencing the spatial, social, and economic dynamics of the area. This study aims to investigate the phenomenon of studentification in Kecamatan Jebres, Surakarta, by examining the availability and distribution of supporting facilities that serve student activities, particularly in the sectors of commerce, healthcare, and communal spaces. Using a deductive approach and a descriptive quantitative method, this research employs empirical data to validate the existence of studentification in Kecamatan Jebres, Surakarta. The findings highlight the availability of facilities across various sectors. In the trade and service sectors, there is a wide range of services, including photocopy centers, laundries, eateries, workshops, car and motorcycle wash facilities, small food stalls (warungs), and shops, all of which meet students' daily necessities. The healthcare sector is supported by facilities such as pharmacies, clinics, hospitals, and community health centers (puskesmas) that address the health needs of the community, including students. Additionally, communal spaces, such as communal rooms, libraries, museums, and sports facilities, provide venues for both academic and social activities, reflecting the diverse requirements of students in the area. This study confirms the existence of studentification in Kecamatan Jebres through the concentration and number of facilities that support student life. These findings reinforce the significant impact of the student population on the provision of facilities in the area, highlighting the region's adaptation to the needs of its student population.
2025-04-09T05:07:57+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Perencanaan dan Pengembangan Kebijakanhttps://journal.itera.ac.id/index.php/jppk/article/view/2127Kesesuaian Lahan Kawasan Permukiman Berdasarkan Kemampuan Lahan BWK II Kota Semarang2025-04-15T07:05:12+00:00Tia Adelia Suryani[email protected]Nabilla Dina Adharina[email protected]
Limited land followed by high population growth and urban development will be a problem for many sectors, especially the environmental aspect. Thus, urban development must be directed. The development of a good residential area is one that is in accordance with the development area. BWK II Semarang City is predicted to experience growth in 2031 up to 24.41%, even though the majority of land use is in the form of residential areas. The development of BWK II which tends to be rapid and followed by population growth is feared to increase the need for settlements. Land capability is considered to be one method to analyze which areas can still be developed. The purpose of this study is to determine the suitability of land capability in the BWK II residential area of Semarang City. This study uses a quantitative research method with a spatial approach. The settlement area was analyzed by land capability using 9 Land Capability Units (LCAP) which include: Morphological LCAP, Workability LCAP, Slope Stability LCAP, Foundation Stability LCAP, Water Availability LCAP, Erosion LCAP, Drainage LCAP, Waste Disposal LCAP, and Natural Disaster LCAP. The results of the land capability were overlaid with the settlement area. The results showed that 97% of the settlement area was still in accordance with the development area and 3% of the settlement area in BWK II was not in accordance with the development area, including in parts of Karanganyar Gunung Village, Bendan Ngisor Village, and Gajah Mungkur Village.
2025-04-09T05:16:24+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Perencanaan dan Pengembangan Kebijakanhttps://journal.itera.ac.id/index.php/jppk/article/view/2146Pemberdayaan Komunitas dalam Ekowisata di Pulau Kecil2025-04-15T07:05:12+00:00Isye Susana Nurhasanah[email protected]Graciela Angely[email protected]M. These conditions often lead to resource exploitation by certain parties without considering sustainability. Therefore, the role and capacity of human resources (HR) are crucial, supported by collaboration among the government, stakeholders, and local communities to ensure sustainable management. This study analyzes community empowerment on small islands through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and bibliometric analysis to identify key themes and research gaps. The study also evaluates the extent to which this aspect has been discussed in previous research and reveals existing gaps. The literature analyzed includes publications from the past ten years (2014-2024), sourced from the Publish or Perish (PoP) database. The findings indicate that although community empowerment has been widely discussed in the literature, studies specifically focusing on the context of small islands remain limited. Several aspects, such as the impact of climate change and political dynamics in community-based ecotourism management, have not been extensively examined and represent research gaps that warrant further exploration in future studies. Findings highlight the need for further studies on climate change impacts and governance in community-based ecotourism.
2025-04-09T05:38:22+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Perencanaan dan Pengembangan Kebijakan
